Methow River
There's no time to nap as you burn down the Methow featuring ribbons

rapids, waves and surges. Emerge from the Black Hole to weather
the Hurricane Rapids on your way to the Columbia River.
Witness the
contrasts of the Methow valley on our Scenic
Naturalist Float as the river threads its way from meadows and
orchards, through open forests, and into the lower valley's desert-like
conditions.

The Methow Valley, with
its open Ponderosa forests, basalt cliffs, and hot, sunny weather
puts you in a land where you can almost taste the heritage of the
"Old West". The river is well known for its consistent
rapids and waves. Hurricane Rapids, Cinder Block Drop,
and the notorious Black Canyon seem a distant memory by the
time you reach just Another Roadside Attraction. The whitewater
ends very near the mighty Columbia River going on 20 miles from
where you began. It's only about half an hour from the resort towns
of Chelan or Winthrop. 4 hours and 19 miles. May thru July. Rates

Scenic
Naturalist Float
The Methow Valley offers
some of the most unique and beautiful scenery in the North Cascades.
Beginning in an Alpine Forest and ending in desert surroundings.
Throughout the tour it is not unusual to see eagles, deer, Blue
Heron, beaver, and many other wildlife species. Our scenic float
meets in the valley town of Carlton. After a short shuttle we begin
quietly floating down through the fields and orchards of the valley.
Listen to the "wild west" history and stories that your
guide tells of the area. Swimming and fishing are hard to resist.
July thru August. Rates
Overnight Trips
Methow Overnighter
Your first day through this old territory has moderate
whitewater as we make our way to camp. Everything seems big out
here, maybe that's why we use our 16' X 20' tent "lodge"
as an all weather shelter. With a little imagination you conjure
up images of the cook next to his covered wagon as the evenings
barbeque gets a roastin'. Individual tents are provided so just
bring your sleeping roll. A big country style breakfast with fresh
coffee greets you in the morning. Eat plenty, you'll need it for
the Class IV whitewater that lies ahead. Includes a riverside lunch
both days. Note: This trip can be run into the summer with the only
change being that the whitewater becomes more moderate. Rates
