Wild & Scenic River Tours is the only locally owned and operated whitewater-rafting company offering trips on the Nooksack River. We are based out of Glacier, the last town on Highway 542, which follows the Nooksack River to the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
We were created to appeal to smaller groups who want a personalized trip with six instead of the usual eight people per raft. A nice flotilla for us is 48 people. We can accommodate groups of well over 100, but our favorite gathering includes 12-14 guests Everybody is comfortable in our settings; families, corporations, church groups, boy scouts, or your group of friends.
Share the camaraderie with our Professional Guide Corps, who know and love these waters. Our guides love rafting and will do anything to make sure you have fun on the river. We play where we live, and live to play outdoors. If weÕre not running trips on the river weÕre kayaking, skiing, or mountain biking right here in Whatcom County.

Our river trips cater to small groups and are designed to be a full-fledged river adventure. We make multiple stops as we float down Washington's magnificent rivers to view wildlife, fossils, and stunning mountain vistas. Halfway down the river we prepare a fresh lunch platter including deluxe deli-style sandwiches and appetizers, which may include chips and salsa, fruit, and smoked salmon and cream cheese. Vegetarians will be pleased with avocados, cucumber, and hummus spreads.

Visit us in the fall and winter for our spectacular wildlife floats. Fall in the Cascades signals the return of salmon to the wild rivers of Washington. Our Nooksack River hosts every species of salmon and the Sauk river is also a popular spawning grounds. Our trips in late July and August are virtually guaranteed a Bald Eagle sighting. Generally, we spot many more and some Salmon and other wildlife to boot. During the winter months we offer trips specifically to view seasonal Bald Eagles on the Skagit and Nooksack rivers. We have all the gear necessary to make these experiences just as enjoyable as the summer trips.
